Private Medical Insurance Helping to Fight Cancer
A new study has proven that individuals suffering from cancer are living longer thanks to improved technology and private medical insurance. 
The study conducted and published in the US by the Lancet Oncology demonstrated clearly a link between the life expectancy of cancer patients and medical insurance*. 
Whilst the study highlighted that many cancer patients in the US, France and Japan are living longer; it also proved that UK residents could be looking at longer life expectancy levels, providing they have personal health insurance, that is. 
Joanne Lumb, Head of Medical and Provider Services at CS Healthcare, a personal health insurance company, stated; "Individuals with private health insurance have access to initial diagnosis through out-patient consultations or tests more quickly than someone who may be relying on the NHS. Obviously the sooner a condition can be diagnosed the better the chance that treatment will be effective for the patient. Technological and scientific developments are also available in the private sector, helping to cure or at least slow down the effects of cancer." 
This research not only identifies the importance of medical technologies when it comes to beating cancer but also found that people with private medical insurance actually have the highest survival rates.
